AméricaTevé is a local Spanish cable network. They produce a segment called “Los Reporteritos” (The Little Reporters) which airs on Fridays during the Local news program at 5:00 pm and 11:00 pm.

LARC Technical Institute launched a training program designed to bridge the gap between book education and real world experience.

Miami Dade College

Students participated in an interactive lab day at the new Science Complex at Miami Dade College North Campus. Miami Dade College facilitated lab activities that were aligned with the curriculum they were learning in Biology & Chemistry classes. (01-17-13)

Miami Science Museum

José Martí MAST was selected to pilot a live virtual surgery field trip. Students first received instruction on the terms and procedures that were going to be used during the trigger-finger repair. Students were able to engage in a question and answer dialogue before, during and after the surgery with the surgeon. Some students did not realize the extent of the surgery and had to be excused. (2-14-13)


Through hands on activities and driver integration, NASCAR and its educational partners will showcase how STEM and teamwork come alive outside the classroom in sports and potential careers. (6th – 8th grades)


In conjunction with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), we have acquired a weatherbug station to integrate live, local weather data and technology into classroom learning. This web-based tool embeds live weather readings and images. The B-PASS grant has facilitated the acquisition of this interactive educational tool.

The Women of Tomorrow Mentor & Scholarship Program mission is to inspire, motivate and empower women to live up to their full potential through a unique mentoring program with highly accomplished professional women and scholarship opportunities.
